i head a rumor that you cannot reuse pistions, because after piston and rings have been pressed once, if you try to reuse, pistons again, even with new rings, there can be play, and not be good for your motor. is there any truth to this rumor?

No. You have to buy new rings though.

 

Well there is some truth to that if you had the pistons on/off rods.I would never reuse a piston that had been pressed off a piston,if thats what you mean.

i appoligize, i kinda of wrote it retarted, i meant can u reuse psitons after they have been pressed on to a rod, example, my buddy has a jdm b16, but i am builinding lsvtec, can i use his pistions on my ls rods? even if i used new everyting, i heard there could be a problem with the piston maybe having movment from alrdy being pressed?

thats rumor and as long as the piston was removed from rod w/care u can reuse it.
