Well along time ago I got my exhaust done at fair ( just like midus ) well the guy said he put 3 inch pipe underneeth, so I was wounding, with out taking the pipe off is there any way I could measure it ? Could I wrap a tape measure around it and get an estiment on it ? Is there a formular for measung the outside of thing, and finding how big the inside is ? Any suggestions, thanks.

I think I will just measure around the pipe, does anyone know how thick exhaust piping usually is ?

3 inch piping??? You boosting or anything?? That's kinda big for all motor.. but yea anyways to measure the outer diameter O.D. you could wrap a tape around it and divide by 3.14159 (pie)... That's just to measure the outer.. I'm pretty sure the only way to measure the interior diameter I.D. you would have to cut the pipe or be able to see the end of it.. I'm not really sure what piping you have so i'm not sure how it is gauged but I would go by the I.D. That's more of what you wanna know.. Peace
EDIT: this is just a rough estimate but you are probably safe to say that the piping is about an 1/8th of an inch think if not a bit thinker..

Na I am not boosting, thats why I am alittle worried if its 3 inchs. Anyways I will wrap a tape measure around it tomorrow maybe. Thanks
