Maximum
Hello guys and fellow techs!! this is my first post, i was reccommended to this site from a friend thats on i.a.t.n. and he said if you guys did'nt know nobody would..
I've got a d16 y7 block at a buddy of mines machine shop , Its been bored 0.30
i,ve got forged s.r.p. dish pistons and eagle rods , the block has been notched for the pistons, and the stock crank has been micropolished, and radiused at the journals and balanced. i told him i wanted it to handle around 275 wph, at no more than 8000 rpms, and he said that should do it, but i changed my original plans and ditched the small turbo i had and went with larger one t28 t04b 62trim t3 compress wheel .60a/r to4b comp. housing 79 trim t25 turbine wheel with a .86 a/r turbine housing. I know this turbo will push me well over my original plans , my plans are now to push about 300-330 whp , but i'm not sure if the stock block can handle it i've got a block guard at my shop i could install that and post my sleeves with some studs but, i don't know if that would be safe enough ;Or should i just go ahead and order some good aftermarket sleeves that handle it for sure, and if i need to sleeve it what else is out on the market besides dart.
i've never have put a turbo this size on a d-series or any other 4 cyl for that matter
I've been building hondas for over twelve years but unfortunately my experience never has exceeded the 271 whp mark.
I'm sorry for typing a long question , but i really need some proffessional advice on this one. Oh yeah i almost forgot to mention i'm NOT going rev this engine past 8000 r.p.m. if that helps....
Thanks in Advance
Chris.
