Dealers are dumasses. I've given up on them. You'd think working there would teach you a thing or two. Oh well.

I use royal purple w/ limited slip additive. if you drive softly until the fluid warms up, you'll love it.

REDLINE synthetic works wonders... my dad used it in his auto 93 SHO and it was a noticeable difference in how it grabbed each gear

Agreed, I love Redline MTL. However you have to shift a little harder. If in doubt, use honda fluid.

I use Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil. Great stuff. It's $6.99 a quart.

BIG MISTAKES... Synthetic Gear Oil, Redline MTF.

Use Honda MTF ONLY!!!
Specially formulated to work with Honda's synchronized gearset at low and high temperatures. Well worth the $5something a quart.
Change MTF every 8,000 miles.

How do you think I know
I am on my third tranny.
motor will usually out-live the tranny.

I also vote for Honda MTF. I used the recommended motor oil in the past, but switching to Honda MTF made a small but noticeable difference. As for synthetic, it may not have the proper friction modifiers and cause synchro problems, so beware.
