B20 VTEC
Can the B20's stock rods be used with custom 84mm pistons for CRVTEC or should they be upgraded to aftermarket too. And about how much, does a full set of main bearings and rod bearings cost from Honda? Thanks for the help!
i would strongly recommend a set of aftermarket rods. especially if you plan to go over 7000rpm alot.
eagle rods are a great choice and not that expensive too.
honda bearings can be pretty expensove. but you must know which sizes to choose. you can just go in a buy bearings. you need to know the correct colour codes and measurement needed for your engine.
i would say a full set of mains and rod bearings would cost close to 200 bucks......

im sure they would be fine but seriouly, i dont know how much time you have to mess with your engine but it seems a waste to take it apart then only put new pistons in. after all how many times you wanna tear the engine out of your car and rebuild the bottom end. if your like me you know your gonna wanna raise that rev limmit to squeeze out a few more ponys. assuming you have the $ (eagle rods are like 300-350, you get arp bolts with them) you should do it right the first time.
