Default car dies bogging problem bogs down

Allright, im gonna try and explain this the best I can, cause this seems like something you'd need to be there to really understand whats going on.

first, the car
96 civic
94 LS block (intake mani is 97), all converted to 97 LS ODB2 / 97 lS ECU
96 moded DX wiring

The problem is when the car is driving, it will suddenly start bogging down. The closest experience i've had to that was running out of gas. It has that feeling like that. If you've ever completely ran out of gas, its that same thing. It just bogs down. but doesnt die. (well dies with no gas, but mine comes back to life)

Now it bogs for like 10 seconds at most then BAM, back to normal. Its done this a few times, FIRST time was at Streets of Willow, I had to stop early. Then it was driving back from willow, then it happened a week later while on the free way and then while driving into town a week later. It hasnt done it at town speeds. Only above about 60 mph.

The engine is mechincally perfect. We checked everything before it was swapped into the car. The motor still runs strong and getting good gas mileage. So I dont know what could be wrong.

The only thing I dont have hooked up is my CFK, cause the 94 LS motor doesnt have one. But im pretty sure it wont make a difference in this case.

any help would be nice

thanks!!!

you might wanna check the ICM (ignition control module). If the board is cracked or if there is a fault in it, It might overheat easily and when the ICM overheats it will cause the car to act 'abnormal' (car might cut off or not). Try holding a blow-dryer on the ICM while the car is idling for like 10-15 mins and if it shuts off or starts acting weird, you have your problem. I've experienced this before and learned this trick from a VERY experienced master tech. This is only a suggestion.

fixed the problem HOPEFULLY
my VSS had corresion on it and I was told to clean it off. My speedo didnt work before and thats what lead the guy to say, hey fix your speedo. cause then that bogging would go away. he had the same problem

so i cleaned the corresion and now the speedo works, and so far no bogging problem
