Default Machine shop services and bottom end gurus

Application: JDM b16a using CTR oversized pistons.

My next step is to have the block honed out for use with CTR oversized pistons.
Different machine shops are suggesting various services to be performed. What are the most important services I should have performed in order to have a precision balanced bottom end?

What should my honed out specs be?

I wish I was in Cali, but can anyone recommend a good machine shop in the east coast?

ok the b16b oversized pistons are .025 overbored. I think that is what the question was. and dont worry about balancing the bottom end just for a allready balance piston. so just get a overbore and hottanked and maybe decked while its there, they usually will do this without telling you, at least they did for me.

Matching your rods to the lightest one would be an easy thing to do if you're changing pistons.

After that, you're looking at replacing bearings, main seals, etc.

yeah i forgot you need to mill your rods to fit the b16b pistons. it is a little more than 1mm on each side.

and don't forget to snad down the ctr pistons. there's a piece that just sticks out on top and could be a hotspot.

Would you guys recommend "glass beading"? What is it, and how does it affect a hone/bore job?

don't need! traditional grinding stone is all your motor needs.
