Default LSVTEC, knock sensor, and a CEL.

I just finished dropping in my freshly built LSVTEC. Now I don't have the knock sensor hooked up on the block and I'm getting a CEL for it. Is there anyway to disable the knock sensor without rechipping my ECU? BTW, I'm running a P61 92-93 GSR ECU. TIA for the info.

You could hook up the sensor and zip tie it to something to get rid of the CEL. Or there should be a plug on the LS block where the knock sensor goes(same spot as vtec block). Remove said plug and install sensor. I'll pm you a pic.

there wasnt a plug on my 93 ls block, so i had to drill and tap a hole for it
if you took the CEL bulb out, how are you going to know if you have future problems?

You can always wire it up and wrap it with a towel and just place it somewhere but it's not going to do it's job; I heard it's supposed to detect detonation or something like that--anybody knows?
