Default LSvtec Knock Sensor in block

i guess the most common way to mount the KS on a LS block would be using the upper alternator bracket.
but i was looking at my block now and there is a hole in the same place as the b18c5 block had the KS.
but this hole is too big for just "tapping" it with new threads, so what about jb weld that ****, drill and re tap it?

any comments? have this been done?

Default Re: LSvtec Knock Sensor in block (ITRnorway)

earlier today i had this same problem although when the ls/vtec swap was done last year, the installer did not tapped in a knock sensor, so my car had CEL on. Instead of tapping it into my block they installed some where behind the block and used a bracket and thread it into it! the car passed emissions today with out any problems and the CEL was off!
