p28 is an ecu from a 92-95 civic ex/si and its obd1 vtec...to use that youd have to get a conversion harness since your car is non obd...vafc is a vtec controller...you can just use you ecu and get it chipped and use a switch...or just use a switch on the stock ecu...or just get a pwo or pr3 ecu...

best and cheapest way to go is run a pr3 ecu or a chipped p28 with a conversion harness as sayd above.
I advice against running any kind of rpm activated switch and your ls ecu, since timing and fuel will be way off

p28 will work but ur car is obd0 so youll need to convert to obd1 vafc will help tweek and tune ur curves and vtec engagement u could have an obd1 ls in there which would save u time and money on the wiring or conversion harness check ur block and ecu to see what u have before you start buying

your better off using a pr3 and just adding the vtec wires to your harness you already have. its your cheapest bet and it already plugs into your harness so no converter harness is required and you will find just as many chips for a pr3 as a p28 and unless your gonna be hardcore about tuning you wont need a vafc with a chip
