Default LSD HELP!!!!!!

Hi- last year I bought this LSD from a guy off of another board, I checked with his work and everything, and actually still talk to him sometimes, here is the problem, he sold me what I thought and what he thought was a Cusco LSD for a B18b/b16, Last week my buddy tried to install it on a b18b tranny, and it didn't fit, so I did some research, and I found that it was a OEM Honda LSD and it was for a 99+ civic SI tranny. So another friend of mine had a spare one so we traded a LS tranny fora SI tranny. Kevin went to install it this morning and it still didn't fit. The LSD unit itself was too big for the gear that bolts up to it. So now I have a New LSD but the thing is that I do not know what it is for, here are some pics of it. Does anyone know what it is for, or how I can tell what it is for. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

There are nimbers on the bottom that are "967", and on the top are some more numbers that are 6,7,5,9. they are not next to each other, they are close to the bolt holes. Anyone?

Have you talked to the guy that sold it to you and asked him exactly where he got it from. Looks like you are going to have to dig deep into this LSD's past.

its a ITR diff. and no an LS, or even an SI ring gear won't bolt to it, you'll need a GSR or ITR ring gear, countershaft, and a few other things. but that is a stock type R diff. which will fit into the tranny cases you have, either ls, or si, but you need the other parts. oh, and all stock 99-00 SI diff's were open. hope that helps...

YOU DO NOT NEED THE COUNTER SHAFT

the B16 tranny has the same final drive ratio as the GSR or R tranny (unless it is a JDM ITR)

all you need is the ring gear and to shim the diff

ustccsi-do not post unless you know what you are talking about

I just installed an ITR dif into a b16 tranny 3 days ago!!!
