I have an LS/vtec swap in my '96 civic HB, and I am showing code 23, (among others) indicating the knock sensor. I have the sensor connected, and grounded it with a ring terminal and 16 gauge wire to the ground bolt on the thermostat housing. Otherwise it is just wire tied to the harness and hanging there. what else should I do? I didnt have this problem with my old motor (b18c5, which has the knock sensor port)

just use a p28 chipped ecu, it will solve all the problem. u dont need the stupid knock sensor.

 

you are talking about the obd1 computer with the skunk2 adaptor right? I will try that, a friend of mine has almost exactly the same car as me, but with a b16b. I'll just swap his ecu in and see what happens
