Default Ls/Vtec swapped, now problems begin!!!!! LOOK!

ok, i have a 96 civic with b18b obd2block with a b18c obd1 topend. I got obd1 ecu and obd2 harness. I believe all of the wiring is ok. I started it up and drove it around, and everything seemed drviable until like 5k when it would sputter and backfire. So, i went back and checked the codes. I got knock, vtec solenoid, o2 (which i fixed), and tps. I dont have a knock b/c hondata will turn it off eventually (soon) and the vtec solenoid i can figure out. But the tps is the problem. For some reason it is adjustable and screwed on. I always thought that they are all riveted on until i saw this one. well, we adjusted it to what we saw fit, and still got a code. The idle was ok, and for some reason jumped back up by itself. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, i am changing the cap and rotor in the dizzy and hopefully that will stop the sputtering. right? The old one was real worn down.

I'd say you answered your own question for now, swap the cap and rotor and if still is doing it come back and update this thread.
