LS-VTEC ROD KNOCK?
My friend has an LS-VTEC Integra and he is having some motor trouble. Here are the details.
Friend took the car out for a spin and it was about a quart and a half low on oil...he raced his other friend in an Integra GSR but in the process of racing him he took the car up way too high and i think he might have bent a rod or something. I'm positive its a rod knock but to solve it, we got another ls block with type r pistons and ls rods and crank. I would think that the rods are longer and with the higher compression pistons the piston to valve clearance would be way too close. If anyone has about the same engine setup let me know. I also would like to know which timing belt///waterpump///headgasket to use. I already did a search and everything was so scattered and i need the help as soon as i can thanks
