Okay guys so heres the deal!!! I have a fully built Ls/VTEC as the title says. It has 83mm RS Machine Sleeves, Arias Pistons 9.5:1 comp., Eagle Rods, and a stock LS crank balanced with honda bearings, a brand new b-16 balancer. Its got a fully p&p head, gsr cams, toda valve train, RS engineering cam gears, toda timing belt, victor x manifold, 270 cfm injectors, golden eagle pro series fuel rail, sard fpr set at 36 lbs. with the vacuum line off, Walbro 255. Power FC with a tune for a stock gsr with mild bolt ons which made 159 hp
So heres the deal i have a rod knock and the motor only has maybe 3500 miles on it it hasnt seen above 8500 and is daily driven pretty mildly and i need some input on why the hell i already have a rod knock the power fc has been watched religiously since the day the motor went in and has had no major problems at all any help would be highly appreciated. Sorry to hear, but nobody can diagnose what happened over the internet. Just a bunch of random guesses from people. Tear it down and take some pictures of the parts, that would be the best thing to do at this point.

Who built the engine?
Sounds like someone messed up the rod clearances. Time to tear down, hope that the crank is ok, and put in new correctly sized bearings.

Re: (DRIVENRacing)
Like dude said above, it's no more than a shot in the dark from here. You need to tear it down and take pics. If it is truly rod knock, then it's likely you have an oiling issue, or bad bearing clearances.
