LS/VTEC Integra CYP Sensor?!?!
Hey, I have a 1995 acura integra previously gsr, now a LS/VTEC, since the engine was swapped, My idle has been crazy sometimes it will just idle very high like 1700, and other times is will go from 1000 to 2000 up and down, My check engine like was on throwing a #9 code CYP sensor, i was told that you cant replace those, and to just buy a new dizzy,I bought a brand new distributor from Honda. The only thing it did was the CEL doesn't come on for a few minutes, unlike before when it came on right away, but other than that it did not do a thing, my idle is still crazy and the cel is still on throwing the same code. I have looked up a Idle Troubleshooting thread and did everything on there, checking it IACV, the FITV. And nothing is wrong there. I dont understand what the problem can be. If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE let me know
Thanks,
Josh
Thanks,
Josh
The CYP is in the distributor, but is only replaceable if you find another set of sensors out of another distributor. (so most just replace the distributor)
If you've replaced the distributor and your having the same problem, you should check your wiring.

I have checked to make sure that everything is plugged in to the right places and made sure that all the plugs are tight and everything was good there, what else should I look for in the wiring?
