Well, I notice that when I change gears in my Teg it makes a slight crunching noise. It usually dosent do it in 1st, only 2nd-4th. And sometimes dosent do it when I let the revs drop down first.

The previous owner just put a new clutch in it and I'm being very cautious about driving it past 4k rpms when I can. It also has a short shifter, so I'm not sure what the cause is.

Any insight would be nice.

 

Sounds like a syncro problem.. but make sure you have tranny fluid in there cause you never know so just check to make sure maybe even change it... maybe try adding some Lucas tranny fix and see if it gets a little better.
