Ls Vtec on a Crx
Ok ok, my buddy has a CRX and just had an engine swap.. He is now Mr LS VTEC.. he was breakin it in the other day and fucked up.. hahaha, i was told he blew up an oil pan or gasket something like that.. not sure, but he claims to be a 12 second car or high 11s with that LS VTEC motor? I think that's extreme, is he bullshitting? cuz thats almost just as fast as my other buddy's 93 Mr2 with custom turbo.. I'm sure the MR2 will own cuz he got high performance everything, although the CRX gutted his whole interior.. what yall think?
As far as I know, the motor is built with a ls engine and a GSR head.. He has a Skunk2 intake manifold and all the bolt-ons including Type R Cams/Gears... He was running 13's with his old motor (b16a), now that he's LS VTEC-ing, he says he should be at least a 12 sec car... I dunno what else he has done, he's getting his oil pan deal fixed tomorrow.. i'll keep ya'll posted..
I still think the Mr2 will smote him since he got a new engine as well, with high performance pistons and he bored his 2.2l engine into 2.4l.. He has a Toyota Turbo with Custom piping and blitz blow-off valve.. He's a 12 sec flat car.. He can hit high 11's with more psi and 50 shot of nitrous.. the CRX probably a good race though.. cant wait to see them race!

I had a friend who built a LS\VTEC crx,LS block type R head all oem internals with mild tunning an shity suspension an shity traction he ran a 12.7 @ 108 i belive i could be wrong on teh MPH
if he has high compression pistons then its very possible that he could hit 12.0's
just let us know everything he has and im sure we can come up with a pretty good estimate on what he can run... latez

wont matter really if the ls/vtec wasnt built right, meaning if they used stock internals, cause the motor wont last longer than a couple months. but i think the crx will lose by a little bit, not much .
AND HE REVS IT UP TO 8800 RPMS i didnt beleive it but i saw his afc whatever thing it said it reved up to 8800 rpms on a stock ls block
