ls vtec is in but wont run right HELP
this is what i got a ls block with b16 pistons running like 11:5:1 compression with a b16 head and the the oil lines r ran and the ecu is a pr3 with a mugen chiped ls program with the fuel curves, and 4500 vtec with 8500 rev limit and the 2nd o2 and knock senor taken out. i can get the car to idel fine but when it hit the gas it like its laging, it rev's slow and boggs real hard. i pulled the plugs and it acts like it running too rich like to much fuel is beig dump in. or is this a timing or vacuum problem. o and the air fuel gauge reads all the way to the rich side at idel but when i punch it and let off it goes to starch and then back to rich. whats going on here?
actually, switching the map and tps plugs won't allow the engine to idle, it will just rev up until u start it. you may want to check the vacuum reference for your pressure regulator, as well as proper connection of all fuel lines. is the engine is running that rich, something may be causing it to run with too much fuel pressure, or maybe something is wrong with the fuel maps on your chipped ecu. try using a stock ecu and see what happens
ya but depending on the year some of the map and tps sensors look alike and will interchange this happend to me today and once switched it ran great
