Default LS-vtec block and piston concern

I'm building an LS-vtec... since the LS block doesn't
haveoil squirters in it to cool off the internals of the block,
is there such a thing as a high heat resistant piston and rod..
If so which are they, let me which are the best....

I wouldnt worry about it unless you are shooting for 400hp+. Also, I have been told that with aftermarket rods you shouldnt have to worry about squirters, not sure exactly why. Perhaps they have bigger oiling passages. :shrugs:

Any forged piston is more heat resistant than stock cast pistons. Eagle or Crower make good strong rods, and some people on HT also run Probe rods. If you do not upgrade your rods, at least invest in ARP rod bolts.
