LS pistons/B16 rods?
Hey guys I am going to put LS pistons in my B16. Since B16 rods are shorter, I'm going to have to use them with the LS pistons. Do I have to take the pistons/rods to a machine shop and have them do it, or is there a way to do it myself? Not quite sure what the process is...
Any, and all help is very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Goldfingiz

seriously
why are you doing this?
the ONLY thing it would be good for is some form of forced induction
your compression ration is gonna drop to about 8.5:1 from 10.2:1

the pistons will fit perfectly on the rods, no modifications needed. although a machine shop will have to use their press to remove the old pistons and put the new ones on.
the oem pistons aren't going to be as good for your turbo setup as some aftermarket ones would, but depending on application and how much boost the motor will be seeing...it probably won't make enough of a difference to matter.
you won't have any r/s problems. it will stay the same.
