ls + boost question.
if i wanted to boost a ls, and make it reliable, a build is in order...
i was thinking something along theese lines:
$400-----crower valvetrain
$500-----crower 402 cams
$1200----aebs crazy closed deck sleeve job
$400-----turbo from a buddy (not sure what size, reccomendations?)
$250-----blox manifold
$150-----downpipe
$150-----intercooler piping
$200-----tial wastegate
$150-----tial bov
$200-----jonnyracecar intercooler
$150-----gauges
$120-----fast-turbo oil kit
$300-----uberdata
i want this to be a daily driven ~250hp car. I want it to be DEAD reliable.
now. the part where i get lost is here:
1. can i use stock ls rods/pistons with the sleeves?
2. can i bore the sleeves to 2.0 like the b20? essentiall making it a sleeved b20, but save money purchasing the ls block opposed to the b20 initially?
3. this setup with the b20b pistons will put it at 8.8:1 compression, great for boost... will hold at 10psi or so with the sleeves? (ls rods and b20b rods are the same, right?)
thanks.

yes you can bore it out to a b20, and also the aebs sleeves are pretty thick and tough, so 10 psi will be a breeze, but since your already spending that much money to resleeve and stuff, why are you putting stock pistons and rods in?
