Default lowering a 96 hatch

just a quick question about lowering a 96 hatch dx...if i buy ground control coilovers, would they work fine with stock shocks, or would i need any other things to lower the car properly? thanks

It is always necessary and most techs say critical to change your struts to aftermarket high-performance units whenever you lower your car with lowering springs or sleeve-type coilovers. You are in effect increasing your spring rate and you need a shock/strut capable of handling that increased spring rate.

Factory or stock struts usually don't last more than 2-3 weeks on average before you see fluid leaking out of the piston. Try Tokico, Koni, or KYB. We've always had success with these setups.

Good luck.
