Default lower front ball joint replacement??? help please

i was just wondering how hard it is to replace them. i know there is a snap ring on them. after i remove that how hard is it to remove them. i have heard that you can just hammer them out and the new in or do i have to press them. thanks i am hoping i can do them at my house without having to pull off the whole hub to replace them. thanks.

The easiest way is to disconnect the ball joint from the hub and unbolt the control arm from the car. I was able to remove mine using a large vice with a few spacers and sockets to press it out. The new one from Honda, my car is a GSR, did not have the snap ring and is just pressed into place. I would use the vice or press instead of a hammer because of the possibility of slipping with the hammer and wrecking the new joint.

see if you can loan the ball joint installation tools from a local auto parts store. has the same effect as the vice/socket concept but is a bit more convenient.

don't hammer on the new ball joint...you may as well
