loud vibration during vtec

loud vibration during vtec

99 civic si,, when vtec engauges i hear a loud vibration type sound coming from teh front left area of the car,, more noticable when the a/c is on

anyone have any ideas?

If I were you I'd check the tightness of the crank pulley bolt... also pull the valvecover and make sure the timing belt's in good shape. That is definitely NOT normal. If anything my car's smoother during VTEC.
