Default looking for a fast street setup (pistons, rods, etc)

okay here is the deal. I have a 94 LS with a DC sports header and catback exhaust from a Type R(bought them used from a friend) and a AEM cai. i was thinking of going LS vtec cause i have access to a B16 head, what I was wondering is should I do this and change my pistons and C. rods at the same time or should I not do the LSvtec and just get the rods and pistons anyway. the setup i have in my mind would be Type R pistons with Type R connecting rods plus the B16 head. would this be good or should i just get aftermarket pistons? What compressions ratios? Thanks

Follow link for compression calculator or do a search for bojangles' calculator.

VTEC is nice.....I like the extra kick up high. Plus, in the future, you can get custom stupid cams where the middle lobe is insane and when you smog they are always on the pri/secondary cams so they won't know how aggressive your "legal" cams are

sure the vtec is a nice touch, but why would you want to go to a smaller displacement...i have however heard they are good with boost...but if i were you i'd go for a gsr or itr b18c head...just my opinion
