Default Lightweight pull crank HELP ME :(

Hello. I have a honda CRX EE8 with B16A1 engine. I buy my car and I got a light weight pull crank from past owner my honda. I don't know if I install this part? I install in engine a flywheel Fidanza ( lightweight ). I scare, if I install this pull crank, my engine has destroyed. Help me please.

hi there

welcome to honda-tech......do some searching and you will find lots of information about light weight crank pullies just like the one you are thinking of installing.

my recommendation is NOT to install that thing. the original crank pulley has a rubber insert to absorb vibration and harmonics which can damage the oil pump and main bearings. unless you plan use the car for race only and plan to re-build the engine frequently then i would not install that thing.

good luck

Ok, I understand. But maybe should I to reduce weight oryginal crank pulley? Then, original crank lost a few weight, and original absorb vibes & harmonic will be ( in original crank ). Good idea?

yeah you can get your stock pulley machined and balanced.
you can remove PS and AC and keep the dampener

You won't gain anything noticable with a light weight crank pulley.
