large cranking pressure variance
I did a compression test on my 99 GS Integra. The highest # I got was 180, but the lowest # I got was 165. I'm not concerned with the actual #s, but the 15psi variance that I got between the cylinders.
I was wondering what could be the cause of the lower pressure. Is it possible that that the valves are not fully seated? When the valves are bent, is it usually very obvious meaning, would there have to be more than a 15psi loss, or is it possible that only a few pounds of pressure could be lost?
thanks

15 psi is the limit for variance between cylinders. Your rings in that cylinder are on their farewell tour, how long they last are based on how much they are worked (taken up to high temp for long periods of time)

Thanks for the replies guys. I really wanted to know if it is possible that it could be the valves. I want to do a leakdown test soon and possibly take it up with the dealer.
thanks again
thanks again
