Default how to compute psi? (compression tests)

how do you compute the cylinder pressure? my friend says its just the compression ratio x ambient pressure (14.7, or 15.0)... is that it? if so, how does a stock gsr make 200 psi?

That's not a formula to find cylinder pressure. Much more complex than that. Try looking up imep (indicated mean effective pressure). That's what you're looking for.
