Default Knock sensor grounded out?

Okay so im about to do my LS/VTEC swap. I have a B18b block in my car right now and im gonna put a B16 head on. Im using a P30 ECU, unchipped. I want to know if its safe to just ground out the wire to the knock sensor so i do not have to worry about drilling and taping the block, because i think that will dificult with it in the car. If i do ground it out, will it be telling the ECU that there constantly is no knock or that there is constantly knock occuring? Cuz i do not want my ignition retarded. Anyone with experience please lmk.

Ya i really want to do that, but i dont want to mess something up. What if i make the hole in the wrong place and drill into something bad or make it too big so then the sensor wont fit at all. There's just too many worries. Any other help is appreciate

Grounding the KS doesn't get rid of the CEL from what I hear.

by looking at the pics on c-speed, it looks like that is gonna be a pain to drill w/ the block still in the car cuz how am i gonna reach around to get a drill in there.
