Default Knock sensor/ECU question

My GSR swap came with a bad knock sensor and instead of getting a new one i was going to get either a chipped p28 or a different p72 with a chip. Will not running the knock sensor cause me any problems or harm ? Thanks. Also whats better the chipped p28 with IAB Control or a chipped p72 ?

not using the know sensor wont hurt anything.

you can just chip yours and not use the knock sensor in the rom.
there would be no difference in a iab capabable p28 than a p72.
i like p28's just because most rom editors are based on a p28/p30 board; but thats no biggie though

VTEC would work with either ECU chipped.
