the Apexi Power FC's knock meter, even the one on the lil' commander is very high resolution, making use is a range of 0-200 using the stock knock sensor and has helped many a user/ tuner.

OEM sensor is fine (as astated) it's just the stock ecu is not as...acurate or agresively monitored as the aftermarket set ups, because it is just there if you doof and put crap gas in, it will attempt to compensate to prevent immediate severe engine damage. J&S knockgaurd used to be one of the better stand alone knock sytems.

...this can get tedious hooking it up vs. having a nice knock meter online all the time, however, it does work for sure.
