Default keep burning the ecu...

hi people, i just swaped the jdm b18c into my car, it's a 96 delsol vtec... but i am facing a major problem, as the topic suggested, it keeps burning the ecu. which meant it burn and killed 2 ecu already...

it happens this way, after i plug in the new ecu on it, then it start and runs okay (1000-3000 rmp)... but after i run it fast (5000+ rmp), then the car begins lag and finally dead. of coz i tried to restart the car, but it failed. so i towl it back and check, then there is no sparks (fire)
check check check, keep checking, finally i swtch another ecu, it start rite the way and run okay, but after it goes more than 5000 rmp once, then the same thing happens again...

anone has idea wut is going on? coz this is getting expensive that many ecu dies...
if it is wiring problem, where?
jdm b18c swap into b16a shouldn't be any problems and without any modification... but how come this werid things happen?

i have field vtec controller installed b4, may be the guy who helped me to unplug the vtec controller didn't wipe up the wire nicely?

any suggestion will be much appreciate

sure it's there... and this made me so mad about
even the fuse there but it stills burn my ecu...

i think the problem might be that the wiring in my car is B16A and i plug in the JDM B18c engine, so the different between the wiring and caused the buring...

my friend said will compare the wiring of B16A and JDM B18C wiring for me to see if there is any different...

There isnt really any difference that I know about besides a few sensor or something. But nothing that would make that happen. It sounds to me like its something wrong with your vtec wiring. When your vtec is activated it grounds out and kills the ecu. Is the fuse burnt out to when the ecu goes?

Are you running the correct injectors? b/c if there incorrect that will smoke and ECU pretty fast.

Check your connections against a factory honda diagram. If you are using the stock engine harness for your chassis loomed on to your new motor, use the chassis's manual for wiring color referance. Check things like IAC and IAT being switched. I have seen that combo take out an ECU or 2.

There are alot of connectors that will interchange so pay attention when relooming a motor. I have fixed many customers cars where they thought they knew what they were doing and had all kinds of things pluged into where they should not have been.

hope it works out

by the way, do you guyz know any one who fix ecu?
and the problem of dead ecu is no spark
so the ecu is really dead or it is repairable?

get a meter and check the vtec solinoid wire for a short to ground. and check the vtec oil pressure switch for a short to voltage. good luck and remember, keep it simple.
