Default k20a too HOT

Hey all I have a little problem with my newly purchased k swapped DC. I was in the drive thru it got pretty hot and blew off a line I shut it off let it sit for a minute or two and parked it in a safe spot. Let it cool down and drove over to autozone no problems I have a mishimoto radiator and an electric fan wired to my ignition but come to find out fan wasn't working ground came loose. Hooked it back up drove around no problems nice and cool (don't have a temp gauge so not sure of the numbers, its on the list though). Now every time the car sits for over 5 minutes or so at idle with fan on all the time it is still getting hot. Now when I over heated in the drive thru I lost a good bit of fluid, so grabbed some water filled it up, then drained the water from the radiator fitting on the bottom filled it back up with 50 50 mix. Also, the car does not have a thermostat. Both upper and lower get pretty warm when sitting. Any ideas? Thanks sorry for the long post.

Not that I'm doubting you OR disagreeing with you but I have read stories on k20a about how people have been overheating with the thermostat took it out and it runs perfectly corecy temperature so I just assumed that wouldn't be the problem? I am planning on getting one I am not sure which route to go with it though just get one from though.
