k20 VSS problem in del sol

i just got done with my k20 swap into a del sol but not sure if i wired the vss wrong or i need a converter or something??? car drives perfectly fine but my speedo is off. the needle doesnt jump or anything but if i'm just driving 20mph its reading 40mph. on the freeway at 65 mph its like at 85mph. i didnt buy a plug and play harness, i just wired 1 up from scratch. any ideals???

. is there any way to bypass this problem like with a inline resistor or built a DIY converter?
