Default k20 quaife install

I just installed a Quaife LSD into a K20A2 tranny this week. For some reason, it seems to be binding on the speedometer gear when I spin it in the case. Obviously I haven't installed it yet, I know it should spin smoothly. I did bolt the upper case on already to check the clearance for the diff shim, so it's been bottomed and clamped in place. It's definitely the speedo gear too, as it spins like it should with it removed. With the speedo installed, it spins freely in one direction, but going the other way it will stop in what seems like the same spot every time.

Any advice? I know some other LSDs come with different speedo gears (the smaller one), but I was under the impression that quaifes don't because they are already the right size.

I've installed plenty of Quaife differentials into RSX and EP3 transmissions, with no problems. Have you checked to make sure you put the speedo gear on all the way? It should bottom out on the Quaife if I remember correctly..
