Default JDM vs. USDM B16A

So what is the difference btwn a JDM b16 and a USDM b16?
Is it true that the JDM is better than the USDM? Im going to buy a B16 to drop in my crx so I need to know which one will make and handle the power the best. I looking toward about 300whp.

Well for starters I think that the compression ratio on the JDM B16A's are alittle higher. Also there are different ODB systems on different gens of the B16's like:
B16A SiR is OBD-0, and then there are B16A SiR II, B16A2, and B16A3 which are either OBD-1 or OBD-2. Also I think that there are different cam profiles in the newer B16's than the B16A SiR motor. So the question of should you go with a JDM or USDM motor is really up to you, although the JDM motors say they make more power stock, I think that they use higher octane gas in Japan than we can buy for normal pump gas and the condition of the motor from japan might not be the best, or it could be really nice. Also the wiring harness is alittle different for JDM RHD cars I think, not for sure though. Someone else fix anything that I have said that was wrong thanks.

Captain Obvious speaking here...
You won't make 300whp on a natually aspirated B16A.

Well I will be getting an 18G kit from greddy soon afterwards, and hopefully boost my engine into the 15-18psi area.

Sorry I neglected to let you know my complete plans there.

Actually, they dont have trouble making 300whp. They have the $$$ to do it. Unlike them who can get that kinda of money in a week it takes most of us like a year. It is trouble for us.

Okay, back to my topic now... Thanks guys

the JDM B16A will be the easiest swap for your CRX.

I know where on the topic of b16s here...

but if you think SOHC n/a Non-vtec engines cant pull 300hp.. you guys are dead wrong

An example is h-tech member: Bisimoto

unibody, f series, stock windshield crx.
f22 SOHC NON-VTEC ALL MOTOR - running in the 10s
