how do u make a jdm motor look legal?
> senario: motor is JDM. year is 91
car is 95 cx.

what can u do to make this legit?

any info is greatly apperaciated. thankx

by law you are not allowed to install an older year engine in any car. example 93 engine in 94 car. you can do this swap only for off road usage like racing, track cars...etc.

thats why im askin if there is any way i can make it legit.

coz i found this motor for hella cheap as in hella cheap but its older than my car. so i wuz wonderin if there is any posibble way of makin it legit without swapping for a new motor.

if you really need to ; if the engine is equipped with a vin# you can remove it. the main thing is setting up evap controls and pcv system. like air box vacuum lines and make sure no headers, msd, or anything of that matter. if everything is hooked up correctly like oem. then you should have no problems. oh one more thing is electrical connectors. make sure no electrical connector open/unplugged. either find a home for them or hide them.

Only in CA is this regulated. Other states only check emissions - if it passes - it passes.
