ITR won't start...any ideas
Here's the deal. Battery is good, fuel is new and good, oil is fine, no electrical problems, plugs are good, plug wires are good, distributor is new/good, fuel pump is fine, fuel pressure is good, blah blah blah. The car will turn over, but will not start. There is a wierd vibration sound each time the car turns over. Any thoughts???
Same suggestion...take the distributor cap off and have a friend crank the motor, if the rotor doesnt spin, that means you're timing belt is broken. If that checks out, you might wanna do a compression test and make sure you dont have a compression leak. Are you positive that the ignitor isnt fouled? Check your wiring harness also make sure everything is connected. Do you have an MSD? If so, the MSD could be bad or the external coil could be bad or not getting solid contact. One other thing you might wanna check is if the plug wires are in the right firing order.
check your fuses. Especially the ECU fuse in the engine bay. Check your ground wires. Are you're spark plug wires plugged in their correct spots?
double check all your sensors -- make sure they're fully plugged in...some might look fully plugged in...but haven't been snapped' closed.
check the distributor like what the fella's above mentioned.
Got GAS?
