Default distributor woes

So I've fallen victim to yet another bad distributor... this time on my GSR swap. Basically, the car went from running beautifully to not even starting all of a sudden. I had the car towed home and took a look.

The distributor cap has hairline cracks in it... the contacts on the inside have a turquoise build-up on them (copper), and it basically doesn't look very well sealed from the elements. Ok, so for all intensive purposes, I repaired one of the contacts that connects to the coil because it basically fell off when I touched it. After doing so, the car actually started, though it was idling rough. I was thinking, alright, sounds about right. Bad electrical contacts.

So I order a replacement cap, rotor, ignition coil, and plug wires just for maintenance sake. Installed them today... car still doesn't start. The starter's turning the engine over, I have good fuel pressure with working injectors, and all my grounds are GOOD so please don't suggest those.

My question is such: is it worth attempting to replace the igniter as well or should I just pick up a new distributor from, say, distributor king? I could just keep the above parts as spares. $175 for new OEM igniter or $300 for the entire distributor. I'm actually leaning away from the igniter only because that may not necessarily be the problem.

I ran into dizzy bad luck about a year ago when I had my dizzy go bad on my b16, got one off a lucky b16 find in a junk yard, worked great for a few days then took a **** on me. So I went to dizzy king and spent the $300 dollars and was fine after that. I knew the dizzy was fucked up because I took it apart. If you want peace of mind that the thing is going to work, buy the dizzy and call it a day.

Ok, got a new dizzy from distributor king, installed it, verified a number of things. Now I'm looking for suggestions because I still can't get the engine to fire. Here's what I'm dealing with:

Spark plugs are fine, still gapped at 0.044" and show only signs of normal use.

New plug wires, just as routine maintenance.

The starter solenoid is energizing because if I crank it while in 1st, the car rolls forward.

Getting fuel for sure, primed 45 PSI at the filter and some fuel on the plugs after I crank.

The dizzy is NOT 180* out of phase. I set cyl 1 to TDC and verified the rotor is pointing at plug wire 1.

Now the engine turns over, just doesn't fire. I don't think it's sparking. I even tried to jump start, but no luck.

EDIT: Oh yea, my valve cover ground for the plugs is attached and fine.

Hmm, got it to start...

Now time to adjust the timing. All I did was crank it at 100% throttle.
