Default ITR Problem

i have a little problem with my 97ITR swap into a 93civicSi. i let the car warm up i checked all the wires everything is good the MSD Ignition and blaster coil r new and were wired up by a pro. so the problem is when ever i step on the gas it started to bog down like it is missing something so if anyone has any advise i would really love it

What kind of ecu are you running? Are you getting any CEL's?

the kind of ecu i am using and was working for the longest time is i think a chipped gsr one but im not sure on that

but wouldnt the timeing let u rev up higher then 2000 rpm and how would i kno if i was running too rich..... i was also thinking about switching the wiring harness and suggestion on what kind i should get

Oh, i didnt know that you cant rev over 2k.
if you cant rev over 2k and you have no cel then is most likely the msd. take out and see

i changed the msd to a msd 6al and i set the rev limiter on it to 7000 and it still does the same thing what else could the problem be

I had this similar problems my spark plug wires were cross. Make sure they are in the correct order. Good Luck

Make sure the connections on the MSD coil is clean and there isn't any electricial arching between the positve and negative poles. I had something similar happen to me before when I ran a Blaster SS coil without proper shielding.

this might sound silly but check all your grounds. my car did essentially the same thing the first time I fired it up and it was due to a loose ground. I thought everything was tight but the vibration of the motor (at idle) loosened one of the grounds. tightened it up and problem disappeared

alright its been a while since i worked on the swap. i did what everyone suggested and i got the enigine to rev up higher but still no vtec. before the car had less power then it did now but it feels like the car has absolutly no torque. i kno it aint anything in the tranny since its a new clutch flywheel and fluid and i had the tranny checked out so i dunno anymore if anyone could help i would love it
