I was just wondering a couple things and was hoping sum1 would give me some answers 1.would a itr head make vtec sound different on a b16 block??
2.what all should be done before putting the head on the block??

yeah, its the same head except for the itr has dual valvesprings, more agressive cams, better retainers, and bigger LMA's. are you trying to get more power, or trying to get cool sounds? if you want some sounds, try ebay. they have all of those super ricer mods on there.
I want more power...Im not into that ricer **** at all.....soo..I guess an itr head is not tha best thing to do.....but thanx ne wayz...oh ya...and tha sounds...I juss love tha sound of tha b16 vtec...but for power Im willing to give that up...even tho I know Ill miss tha sound of it!!!

Doesn't a B16A head also have dual springs on the intake, just not the exhaust.
Seriously though, just get some nice cams and don't blow your money on an ITR head.

So I should just take my b16 head and get it ported...w/new cams and valves and springs..and alla that good stuff right??Some 1 had told me awhile back that itr heads were pretty much tha same thing...but I juss wanted to make sure...thanx!!
in reality a type r head is the same casting as the b16 head they are both pr3's they do have dual springs on both intake and exhaust and they have a beefier cam but you can expect to pay a pretty penny for it just get a b16a head have it ported get some nice springs and retainers get some nice cams and a nice valve job and you will never look back and just incase you didnt know already try to keep away from automatic head cause there are certain years that have a different size keeper... you can spot those by the funky retainers...
