Default ITB question (Honda 929) .. what is this:

#4 and the assembly accompanying #7 .. from what I can see on my 929s, it looks like some kind of air control valve, with a manual adjusting nut? I just want to know if it's necessary to use on my motor, I can't see any issues with not using it. Ideas anyone?

You dont need the #7 thats essentially a FITV, all u need is to keep the #4 setup to adjuse idle air inlet.

bad info, the #7 is just a hose, it controlls the #4 assembly, which you do need to controll the idle. what you dont need is the thing above the hose, the air thing, i cut mine off.

Good thing I am lazy and haven't gotten around to starting on the ITBs hehe .. so you eliminated the metal piece (fitv), and kept just the idle adjusting screw?
