i searched for a half hour and found nothing...so here i go. i just got an aem short ram for my 2000 CX. its mad cold where i am so i have to wait to put it on. today i was just looking at my air box and comparing it to my haynes manual when i noticed something. a sensor attached to the drivers side of the box...it seems to go directly into the box...what will i do with this when i install the intake? will this throw a CEL? just curious.

 

anyone with a 00 CX???

there should be a port on the short ram to plug in that sensor.. im pretty sure thats the intake air temperature sensor.

I actually think thats the o2 sensor. I may be wrong though. Tell me how that intake is, im thinking about getting one also.

Yes, you'll throw a code for it if it's not used.

 

ok...so how do i use it? i am going right now to install it because its a balmy 36 degrees out. i did find that there is another hole on the back side of the intake...but it looks like the sensor is square...and the hole is round? we will see. i think i would get flamed PRETTY bad if i post pics of a short ram install...but i will take some pics if anyone wants them
