im installing an intake manifold on my gsr head. i bought the hondata thermal protection gasket. my question is should i be putting silicon gasket (rtv) on both the surface of the head and the intake manifold? the direction dont say to but my uncle says to (self proclaimed mechanic) it wouldnt hurt to put the rtv on would it?

They dont need any sealer. Make sure you get all the old gasket scraped off.

Exactly I dont use any RTV on mine and it seals great, all though I had no change in the car or temps once I installed mine. Kind of a waste of money but hey I guess they cant hurt at all
