Default Installing exhaust system

I'm installing a new (used) dc sport header and I bought a high flow cat. The dc header to the cat is kinda large and the cat doesn't fit over top like I thought it should. The cat fits over the stock header fine but I want to use the dc sport..

I took some pictures with my phone to kinda give you an idea of what I'm tring to say. Is this kind of gap normal? If I bolt this up tight will I have any problems/leaks?

Yes its supposed to be like that, it has a tapered end and it tightens up so that it doesnt leak. Normally I've seen those in opels, they have bolts with springs on them to keep the pipe under tension and yet letting it expand due to heat.

yeah the springs sounded like a good idea, but I didn't have any available to me so I just bolted it nice and tight. I also got an apex-i world sport cat-back to go with that setup. looks nice, haven't started it up yet though.

I'm not sure if mine had one or not because the exhaust was stolen.

I'll be going soon so I'll look.

I have an issue with the resonator on the cat back resting against the side of the chassis section that is made for the exhaust to fit through. So when the car is up to temp and im at idle is vibrates. But the sound of the exhaust is very very nice!
