Installed ITR cams...engine idles eratically
I just installed some ITR cams, valvesprings, and titanium retainers. Valves were adjusted to spec. I started the car after the install and it wouldnt want to stay running. It idles at around 500 rpm's even after its warmed up. I had to disconnect a vaccum hose on the intake manifold just to get it to idle high enough to stay running. Now the idle jumps from 800-1400 rpm sometimes, sounds like I have some crazy cams, than it drops back down to around 1100-1200 rpm. I already tryed to adjust the idle too, it didnt work. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.
check your timing. also the reason why the car is idling from 800-1400 is because you disconnected the vaccum line. check your timing and if its off adjust it and reconnect that vaccum line. also make sure you junt the service connector before you try to adjust the timing.

No, did it with the head on, used the tool that puts pressure into cylinders.
I'm gonna go mess around with with the timing right now and see what happens.
