Well trying to take apart my suspensions on my old car --> new car and new car --> old car I ran into some problems. On the new car (hatchcrap) we got the front out fine with the aid of some air t00ls but when it came to the back the damn bolt in the LCA was frozen (wouldnt even spin). So i go about getting some GSR LCA"s, might as well ITR Sway Bar.
But now I am left with this...
So now I'm wondering what would be the best way to get the shock/spring assembly out, keep in mind i dont give a **** about teh LCA, dont even need the bolt anymore.
Thanks Again

also try soaking it a few times with penetrating oil such as WD-40 or even better KNOCKER LOOSE and take to a auto shop and ask them to put one of their BIG impacts on it. most likely you probably used a small compressor and regular impact.?? so try that I had that prob on my teg but I put two wrenches together to end on end to make it longer and jumped on it a few times, it was actually bending the wrenches but it finally broke loose.
You can take it to any shop and they'll probably do it for a few bucks if not for free. If you wanna do it yourself then get that propane tank. You can get it at walmart and any auto store (discount auto, pep boys etc.).
while mine were still on the car we just used a breaker bar to break the bolt off and then on the other side it took the breaker bar with a long pipe on the end to break the nut loose. Then we replaced the arm and a new bolt with a nut on the other side to hold the struts in.

If you use a torch to cut it off then you might need to get new bushings pressed in, Just use a little cutting wheel and cut the bolt on both sides (inside). use a torch and some vice grips and twist out the remaining peice from the welded nut. I had to do both sides on my 94 teg when I put in my ground controls, But I had to do it atached to the car......very crappy 4 hours......
