Default imput shaft replacement gone wrong...help!!!

so I replaced my imput shaft bearing in my car since its all taken apart. I replaced and got it all put together. Before I tightened the bolts, I checked the trans by turning the spline and shifting the gears. Everything went well till I tightened the bolts, after that I could no longer turn the spline. any ideas?

I had the same issue when I replaced mine at first. I'm trying to remember what the problem was but I can't. It's something internal. I had to remove the case again and start looking around at what didn't look right and what didn't feel right.

I also had a problem with being locked out of 5th gear. The collar that the shift fork attaches to and slides when you shift was not lined up properly and wouldn't slide freely.

I'll try and think back to what it is I had to do, but remove the case again and start looking at everything. Did anything (bearings, sleeve collars) fall off of the main or countershaft when you were removing the gearsets? If it did, check all of that to make sure it was put back on properly.

Can you still shift through all the gears when the case is back on and the bolts are tightened?
