Default Ignition Question

hey, i had a quick question regarding my ignition. I got my car stolen about a month and a half ago, and they punched the ignition when they did it so that i have to start my car with a screwdriver now! haha(i have a94 honda accord) anyway..they stole alot of stuff, and i'd like to save some money if i can, so i was wondering if i would be able to fix that ignition myself? Someone was telling me that it would be way too difficult to do it on my own, and that i should leave it to the honda dealer. So yeah, i guess my question just is, "CAN" i do it myself? and if so, are there any precautions i'm going to need to take..or difficulties i might come across? thanks for the help.

Here's a thought. Why don't you rewire it for a push button start and cover the hole?

With a push button, you don't need a key...
just hide it somewhere like under your seat, or under the dash wire it to your ignition and
then push the button to start your car

easier to steal if you have that push button showing in public.
